What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, phone number, email address.
- Enquiry details — the vehicle you are interested in, your message, preferred test-drive date.
- Part-exchange details — registration and mileage of the car you are valuing.
- Technical data — basic, non-identifying information your browser sends when loading this website.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and arrange viewings, test drives and valuations (legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract).
- To supply and support a vehicle you buy, including warranty and aftercare (contract).
- To pass finance applications to lenders where you ask us to (your consent and contract).
- To meet legal obligations such as record-keeping and anti-money-laundering checks (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
We share data only where it is needed to do what you have asked: finance lenders and brokers when you apply for finance, warranty and breakdown providers when cover is registered to your vehicle, and our IT and hosting suppliers who process data on our instructions. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase are kept for up to 24 months. Records relating to a vehicle sale are kept for six years to meet HMRC, consumer-law and warranty obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your data, and the right to data portability. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
